A daily affirmations app that writes yours

A daily affirmations app is a place you return to for a short line about your life, and Orly is one that writes the lines for you. Each morning it prepares 10 new affirmations from answers you gave about your days, then can read them aloud. It is on iPhone and Android.

The sample lines later on this page are examples of the style, written for this article so you can see the shape. They are not a quote from the app and not a capture of anyone's real set. Your set, if you use Orly, is built from your answers and changes from day to day.

Google Play 4.6 from 3,000+ ratings and 100K+ downloads, checked October 2026. Ratings describe a store listing at that date. They are not a promise about your experience. The rest of this page covers what the app does, how the writing works, what stays free, and where to compare other apps.

Want affirmations written about your life? Orly writes 10 new ones every morning and reads them aloud. Free to download; your first day includes every Premium feature.

What Orly does each morning

Each morning Orly writes 10 new affirmations from your answers. You start by telling it about your work, your relationships, the people who matter to you, what you want, and what is on your mind. From those answers it drafts a fresh set you can swipe through, save, or leave. A line that fits can be marked as a favorite and found again. A line that does not fit can be skipped. Tomorrow's set is new.

You can read the lines on the phone, or have them read aloud in 31 voices, with soft music under the voice and captions that follow. Listening is there when you want your eyes on the walk or the commute. Home and lock screen widgets put one line where you will see it without opening the app. On iPhone, lock screen widgets and a Live Activity are part of that same idea: the sentence meets you on the screen you already check.

An AI coach chat is there when you want to talk a situation through. The coach can write a new affirmation inside the conversation. Orly Live is the voice version of that conversation: you speak out loud and hear a reply. Favorites keep the lines you want to repeat. Sharing turns a line into a story image or a square image you can send to a friend. A daily reminder can nudge you once, at a time you choose. Orly writes in 35 languages, in the language you use the app in. There is no account to create.

Nothing in that list guarantees a result in your job, your relationships, or your mood. The app gives you words, a voice, a widget, and a chat. You still choose what to do in the hour after you read them. If a morning is too full for ten lines, one line and one action is a complete visit.

Who writes the lines

Google's Gemini writes them and they can be imperfect. Orly sends your onboarding answers so Gemini can draft affirmations and coach replies about your situation, in the language of the app. The drafts can be specific and useful. They can also be generic, slightly off, or more certain than you want to be. That is ordinary for this kind of writing, and it is why every line is editable in spirit: you keep, skip, or rewrite.

Read a new set the way you would read a first draft from a helpful stranger who knows the facts you typed and does not know your whole life. If a sentence promises an outcome you do not control, drop it. If a sentence names the email, the meeting, or the person you actually mentioned, it is closer to the point. You can ask the coach for another try when a line misses. Another try can miss too. Your judgment stays in charge.

The twelve lines in the group below show the style: concrete, present, and tied to a life detail. They were written for this page as illustrations. They are not a quote from the app, not a sample pulled from a user's phone, and not a claim that your set will match them. If you tell Orly about a Thursday presentation, a sister's visit, or a Tuesday meeting, the real lines should mention those kinds of facts rather than a universal slogan.

Free and Premium

Orly is free to download, and the first day has every Premium feature. You can read a full set, listen, and try Orly Live before you decide whether a paid plan fits. No payment details are required for that first day.

After that, free keeps 1 personalized affirmation a day plus coach chat, favorites, and sharing. Premium unlocks all 10, listening, and Orly Live. The daily reminder, widgets, and the rest of the morning setup are part of how you use the lines you have. The split that matters for the words themselves is one line a day on the free plan after day one, and the full set of 10 when Premium is on, with listening and Orly Live on Premium as well.

Premium is $7.99/week, $19.99/month, $89.99/year (monthly and yearly include a 3-day free trial), or $99.99 lifetime. US prices, October 2026. The weekly plan is the short option. The monthly and yearly plans are the ones with the 3-day free trial. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Other countries see local prices in the App Store or Google Play. The store shows the charge date before you confirm a trial. A full price table also appears on this page and on the pricing page.

Choose by the part you will actually use. If one personalized line a day, chat, favorites, and sharing are enough, the free plan after the first day covers that. If you want the whole morning set, a voice in your ear, and voice conversations, Premium is the unlock. You can start with the free first day and decide from the real product rather than from a description.

Where to compare apps

There isn't one best daily affirmations app. The honest comparison is by format: who writes the lines, whether you can hear them, whether they sit on a widget, whether a coach is included, and what the free plan still does after the trial day. Orly's format is personalized lines each morning, read aloud, with widgets and a coach. Another app may be a better fit if you want to record your own voice, keep a huge library of quotes, or write every line by hand.

The roundup to start with is the best affirmation apps page at /best-affirmation-apps. It compares approaches side by side so you can match a format to a habit. Comparison pages also exist for individual apps, including Orly vs I Am, when you already have a name in mind and want a direct look. Those pages are the place for tables. This page is the place for how Orly itself works.

Use a comparison when you are choosing. Use this page when you want the product facts: 10 new affirmations each morning from your answers, 31 voices, home and lock screen widgets, an iPhone Live Activity, AI coach chat, Orly Live, favorites, sharing, a daily reminder, 35 languages, and no account. Screenshots on the page show the product. The store listings remain the source for the latest download details.

Lines in the style Orly writes

These twelve lines are examples of the style Orly writes, published here so you can see the shape of a personalized sentence. They are not a quote from the app. They were not generated from a real user's answers, and your morning set will not match them word for word. Each one ties a feeling to a concrete next step: an email, a slide, a leaving time, a meeting, a visit, an exam topic, a walk. That is the pattern to expect. Google's Gemini writes the real lines, and they can be imperfect, so the in-app versions need the same edit you would give these: keep what you would actually do, and skip what overclaims. Read this group as a demonstration, then judge the product by the set it writes for you.

  1. I can send the email I have rewritten twice.
  2. I can finish the first slide of Thursday's presentation today.
  3. I can leave at the time I promised the people at home.
  4. I can ask my manager which task comes first.
  5. I can plan my sister's visit instead of dreading the calendar.
  6. I can bring one prepared point to the Tuesday meeting.
  7. I can practice the Friday exam topics for twenty minutes tonight.
  8. I can be patient with myself on the days the house is loud.
  9. I can take a walk after dinner before I open the laptop again.
  10. I can tell my partner what I need in one calm sentence.
  11. I can send one application toward work I want this week.
  12. I can begin the morning with the task that matters most.

Make them about your life

Make them about your life by answering the opening questions in your own words: the work you do, the people you love, what you want most, and what is troubling you. Orly uses those answers for the morning set. The more concrete you are, the more concrete the drafts can be. You can name a Thursday meeting or a class. You do not have to share anything you want to keep private. Skip sensitive details you would not want used in a sentence.

Google's Gemini writes them and they can be imperfect. After the set arrives, edit your practice even if you cannot edit every word in place: favorite the accurate lines, ignore the ones that promise a result, and ask the coach for a closer version when a topic matters. Personal means recognizable, not flattering. A line that mentions your real constraint is more useful than a line that calls you unstoppable.

Return in the morning because the set is new, not because you owe the app a streak. Read one line with coffee, listen if you have Premium and want sound, or glance at the widget later. Pair the keeper with a single action from your actual day. That pairing is how a daily affirmations app earns a place in a routine.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best daily affirmations app?

There isn't one best daily affirmations app. The best choice is the format you will still open next month. Some apps are libraries of quotes. Some ask you to record your own voice. Orly writes 10 new affirmations about your life each morning, reads them aloud in 31 voices, and adds widgets, a coach, favorites, sharing, and a daily reminder. If you want a neutral tour of those formats, start with the best affirmation apps roundup. Comparison pages also exist when you want Orly set next to a specific app, such as Orly vs I Am. Pick by habit and features, not by a crown.

Is Orly free?

Yes. Orly is free to download, and the first day has every Premium feature. After that, free keeps 1 personalized affirmation a day plus coach chat, favorites, and sharing. Premium unlocks all 10, listening, and Orly Live. Premium is $7.99/week, $19.99/month, $89.99/year (monthly and yearly include a 3-day free trial), or $99.99 lifetime. US prices, October 2026. Do I need an account?

No. There is no email or password. Orly uses an anonymous ID. Onboarding answers stay on the device and are sent to Gemini only to write affirmations and replies. There are no ads. You do not create a sign-up form profile to get the morning set. Favorites and chat stay with that install. If you write to support later, use the address on the support page and leave payment details out of the message.

Does Orly put affirmations on the home screen?

Yes. Orly includes home screen widgets on iPhone and Android, plus lock screen widgets and a Live Activity on iPhone. The widget shows a line without opening the full app. Setup depends on your phone: add the widget from the system widget gallery after you have opened Orly at least once.
